About Nick

Nick Rogers is a British-born host, moderator, speaker, and writer.

He spent nearly twenty years working inside complex institutions, including Transport for London and Network Rail, where he led the response to incidents and emergencies across the UK rail network.

Nick also served as a Member of the London Assembly, chairing major public meetings and working on issues affecting one of most important and iconic global cities. His background combines frontline operational experience with more than two decades in politics and public life.

Alongside his public service career, he has long been involved in live cultural events. More than a decade ago, he founded TEDxKingstonUponThames and now helps lead TEDxOrlando as Co-Organizer and Director of Curation, shaping talks and coaching speakers for one of the world’s best-known ideas platforms.

Today, Nick hosts events, moderates discussions, and delivers talks for organizations, conferences, and leadership teams. His work focuses on helping groups navigate complex topics, manage disagreement constructively, and communicate ideas clearly.

Across his work, he is particularly interested in how people, institutions, and societies respond to complexity, uncertainty, and change.

Nick is the creator and host of the narrative history podcast Up Ship! The Airship History Podcast and co-host of EPOCH: American History Stories. He also serves as Chief of Staff at Story Circle LLC and advises airship companies on strategy and communications.

His commentary and writing have appeared in numerous outlets including the BBC, ITV, The Telegraph, The Spectator, and the Evening Standard.

His broader interests include history, architecture, aviation, film, and jazz.
